Cascade FC Women’s Soccer Club is a registered nonprofit committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive space for individuals of all gender identities to come together, play soccer, and build a community.
We strive to promote health, teamwork, and cultural exchange through participation in local leagues in Portland, Oregon, and international tournaments, uniting players from diverse backgrounds through our shared love of the game.
Name and Purpose
Membership
Name: The name of this organization shall be Cascade FC Women’s Soccer Club, hereinafter referred to as the "Club."
Purpose: The purpose of the Club is to provide a space and opportunity for women in the community to come together to play soccer, promote sportsmanship, and facilitate travel for competitive and recreational purposes. The Club is committed to inclusivity and welcomes individuals of all genders, including non-binary and transgender individuals.
Eligibility: Membership in the Club is open to any individual who supports the purpose of the Club and pays the required dues.
Rights and Responsibilities: Members have the right to participate in Club activities and meetings. Members are expected to uphold the values of the Club and abide by its rules and regulations.
Dues: The Club may establish annual dues for membership. The amount of dues and the payment schedule shall be determined by the Board of Directors.
Board of Directors
Meetings
Composition: The Board of Directors shall consist of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and two Members-at-Large, all of whom must be members of the Club.
Duties: The Board of Directors shall be responsible for managing the affairs of the Club, including but not limited to, setting policies, approving the annual budget, and overseeing fundraising efforts.
Election and Term: Directors shall be elected by a majority vote of the members present at the annual meeting and shall serve a term of two years.
Annual Meeting: The Club shall hold an annual meeting of the members for the purpose of electing directors and conducting any other business as necessary.
Regular Meetings: The Board of Directors shall meet regularly to discuss Club business and may call special meetings as needed.
Quorum: A quorum for any meeting of the Club shall consist of at least 50% of the members eligible to vote.
Amendments
Dissolution
These bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of the members present at any meeting of the Club, provided that notice of the proposed amendment has been given to all members at least 30 days in advance.
In the event of the dissolution of the Club, any remaining assets shall be distributed to one or more nonprofit organizations with similar purposes, as determined by the Board of Directors.
